Glacier NP
One of my favorite national parks has to go to Glacier NP! The magnitude and the mountain beauty is hard to put into words. The park is huge with several ways into the interior from both the US and from Canada. But there’s only one ‘Going to the Sun Road.” It’s truly spectacular!
The ‘Going to the Sun Road” starts at West Glacier and winds through the park to St Mary’s. St Mary’s town is very small and geared towards campers but the lake and waterfall are very beautiful. Even with the remnants of a previous forest fire, the stark contrast, is very striking!
There are so many places to hike, it is truly hard to pick out which one is my favorite! We hiked Highline Trail, St Mary’s, Avalanche, and Hidden Lake. All of them are spectacular in so many ways!
